Ilven Shyti is a Construction Engineer based in Exiger’s New York office.
Mr. Shyti joined Exiger from Thacher Associates, where he was a Forensic Engineer. In this role, he conducted investigations and audits to monitor general contractors and construction managers to ensure compliance with the New York City Building Code. While there, his project involvement included the New York City Housing Authority Bond B and Rapid Repairs for the Department of Investigation, CIT Bank, and Pre-K Screening for the Department of Education.
Prior to Thacher Associates, Mr. Shyti was Associate Architect and Inspector for Parsons Brinckerhoff. Before this, he was a Civil Engineer at Core Environmental involved in projects for the SCA, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, New York City Transit, and privately owned properties. Mr. Shyti began his career as an Enumerator at the Census Bureau, where he gathered government data.
Mr. Shyti earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the New York University’s Polytechnic School of Engineering. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and holds many other certifications.
