Exiger Launches Cybersecurity Awareness Month Program to Secure Software from Growing Risks

Exiger’s Activation of CISA Initiative, “Building a Cyber Strong America,” Empowers Organizations to Strengthen Global Software Supply Chains

WASHINGTON, DC. SEPTEMBER 29, 2025 – Exiger, the market-leading supply chain AI company and largest provider of supply chain technology to the U.S. Federal Government, today kicked off Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a nationwide initiative to promote cybersecurity awareness and encourage proactive measures to protect the nation’s critical infrastructure.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a collaborative effort led by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), uniting the public and private sectors to encourage behaviors that reduce online risks. The campaign and this year’s theme, “Building a Cyber Strong America,” emphasizes that fundamental actions can make a big difference in defending our nation against cyber threats and protecting our critical infrastructure.

“Cybersecurity Awareness Month serves as a proactive reminder that protecting critical systems and data must be a business priority, with commitment and investment from the C-suite through to frontline operations,” said Bob Kolasky, Exiger’s Senior Vice President of Critical Infrastructure and one of CISA’s founding Assistant Directors. “As rapid technological advances reshape the threat landscape, organizations can’t afford to treat cybersecurity as a back-office function. Strong software development and assessment, coupled with robust cyber supply chain risk management, are essential. The real test of resilience is whether you can harness AI to strengthen your software supply chain before the next cyberattack — not after.”

Exiger’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month will unfold over five phases:

  • Week 1 – Every Organization Has a Role: Exiger will mobilize the message that—no matter the size—every organization that touches critical infrastructure has a role to play in securing supply chains from cyber attacks.
  • Week 2 – What Supply Chains are Under Attack: Exiger will share industrial sector snapshots for manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and government, with free resources tailored to each.
  • Week 3 – Cyber Threats are Increasing: Exiger visualizes recent software supply chain incidents across the npm ecosystem and provides intelligence into the blast radius of these compromises.
  • Week 4 – Regulatory Pressure for Transparency: Exiger offers insights into new government frameworks and requirements such as CISA’s draft software bill of materials (SBOM) Minimum Elements, new Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) standards, the Department of War’s Cybersecurity Risk Management Construct (CSRMC), and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) in Europe.
  • Week 5 – How to Stay Secure: Industry and Exiger experts share how teams move beyond checklists and SBOM inventories to continuous mitigation and assurance.
