Steve Bailey is the Chairman of Exiger’s Board of Directors and a Partner and Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, where he is focused on growth, middle market, and large cap investing in the technology sector. During his nearly 20-year tenure at The Carlyle Group, Bailey has led or served on the board of 20+ technology investments. He currently serves as Director on the boards of several active software portfolio companies including Abrigo, NEOGOV, Net Health Systems, Syniverse, and Unison. He has also led or co-led former Carlyle technology portfolio deals, including Coalfire Systems (sold to Apax Partners), ECI Software Solutions (sold to Apax Partners and Leonard Greene & Partners), Gemcom Software (sold to Dassault Systems), Primatics Financial (sold to SS&C Technologies), Quorum Software (sold to Silver Lake), RMI (sold to GE) and Work & Co (sold to Accenture). Previously, Bailey served as Vice President and Head of Corporate Development at Dell, where he was involved in over a dozen investments. He also served as a Principal with ABS Capital Partners, and held positions in 3Com’s Business Development Group and in the investment banking division of Alex. Brown.
