The Diligence Above & Beyond Awards (DABAs) recognize and celebrate employees who go “Above and Beyond” in their work on behalf of Diligence. Embodying the spirit of Exiger’s Guiding Principles, the awards-c both team and Diligence goals three times a year. We celebrate these individuals at Senior Manager level and below for embodying the spirit of Exiger’s Guiding Principles.

The Impact Award
Ana Duminica, Conference Leader, EMEA
This award goes to the professional that had a measurable impact on our product and our company’s achievement through research excellence.
About Ana
- The best advice I’ve ever received is: “Whatever decision you take, make sure that at the end of the day you can look at yourself in the mirror.”
- If I could meet anyone, it would be: Michelle Obama – because I too have a background in community development.
- I’m currently reading: Talking With Strangers by Malcom Gladwell – I am a Roma ethnic and I started a podcast named “So Keres?” (Romani language). The podcast focuses on stories of people, including Roma people, who are contributing to Romania’s community development.
- I’m inspired by: my father because of the love he has for the family, his integrity, sensibility, patience and respect for everyone. You can check out his story shared by UNICEF here.
- I’ve learned during quarantine: that I can read Harry Potter books again and again and still not get bored with it.
What is your biggest motivator when it comes to your job performance?
The team’s success motivates me. Being able to connect with my team, having a tailored growth strategy for each member so they can reach their goals, and doing my best to answer both the company’s and their professional needs is something that I am focused on and that motivates to learn more, to work better.
What have you been working on during your time at Exiger? Who have you met and what have you learned?
I’ve been a researcher, a content reviewer, QA lead, team leader and conference leader. I learned that any mistake is a learning opportunity and as long as you treat it as such. You can only grow.
What has inspired you? What excites you moving forward?
I used to work with NGOs, so Exiger is the first multinational company I’m working for. I’m very excited to learn about the corporate environment, especially how a vision can be implemented in offices with different cultures.

The Creativity Award

What is your biggest motivator when it comes to your job performance?
Success is what motivates me to do a good job. Knowing the fact that my hard work and perseverance will help me achieve greater professional success is what keeps me going. I feel that aligning the company’s vision and values with my own is one way to achieve that.
What have you been working on during your time at Exiger? Who have you met and what have you learned?
I have been working at Exiger since the Bucharest office was founded and I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of teams within various jurisdictions and on every single project meant for our office. Through that I learned how to put out high quality work on a consistent basis. I have also been working closely with my team to assure their success in this regard.
What has inspired you? What excites you moving forward?
I have been always been motivated to make the world a safer place. My motivation was seeing the organization grow which ultimately leads to personal achievement and success. Mentoring and coaching others and being able to draw a connection between my efforts and the organization’s bottom line is the key to success.

What is your biggest motivator when it comes to your job performance?
I am highly motivated by how my hunger for improvement and passion for my daily activities as a research manager and Team Leader can positively impact the business and my team.
What have you been working on during your time at Exiger? Who have you met and what have you learned?
As early as 6 months after becoming a part of Exiger I joined the efforts of the training team and was constantly on the search for efficiency and improvements, while adapting to both the new hires needs and the business needs. Soon after I became a Research Manager, Content Reviewer and Team Leader, which for me meant that I had earned the business’ trust and confidence to take my initiatives further. I managed to help improve existing procedures, create helpful research and writing guidance and most importantly, be an important factor in helping the Bucharest office grow.
What has inspired you? What excites you moving forward?
It is truly fascinating what people can achieve when you show them trust and kindness. With these in mind, I am motivated by the fact that I can be a resource for any business solutions going further. I am grateful to work with very capable professionals, who prove to me every day the importance of working as a team. I am very excited to guide and motivate all my team members to grow to their full potential.

The Citizenship Award

What is your biggest motivator when it comes to your job performance?
As a Law School graduate, it has been my adult life’s motivation to be successful in making the world a safer place to do business and I am grateful to be able to work on my goal every day. Passion for diligence and the joy of helping colleagues are also two of my biggest motivators.
What have you been working on during your time at Exiger? Who have you met and what have you learned?
I joined the team as a Research Manager in November 2019. Soon after I became a member of the training team and then a Team Leader for the Case Launching Team, all while keeping a close eye on things I can improve on my research and writing skills as well as developing my teaching and leading capabilities. I’ve met a lot of great professionals and I’ve learned something useful from everyone with whom I worked.
What has inspired you? What excites you moving forward?
My highly committed research professionals inspire me every day through their capacity to be hard working, produce quality research, remain optimistic and support my needs in terms of research and professional growth.
