NEW YORK, Dec. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ —  Exiger, the global regulatory and financial crime, risk and compliance firm announced today that Tara Loftus has joined the firm as a Managing Director based in the company’s New York office. An accomplished compliance professional, Ms. Loftus has deep experience in the areas of anti-money laundering, regulatory compliance, financial crime compliance, and anti-bribery and corruption. She will be a key part of Exiger’s Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance practice.
Ms. Loftus joins Exiger after an extensive career with UBS AG. Most recently, she was an Executive Director in the Compliance and Operational Risk department, where she was the COO for the Americas Financial Crime function. Additionally, Ms. Loftus was Americas Head of Anti-Corruption Compliance, where she oversaw regional risk assessments to identify potential gaps, and also supervised compliance implementation. Before this, she served as Global Head of Financial Crime Training, where she set the standards for creating financial crime awareness, training, and education globally. Ms. Loftus also acted as Deputy Head of AML Compliance, UBS Americas, where she coordinated the day-to-day operations related to compliance under the BSA and FCPA, as well as OFAC regulations and other applicable laws and regulations for the wealth management, investment, and correspondent banking businesses. She previously held a number of other compliance positions at UBS, including Head of Money Laundering Prevention for UBS Financial Services, Director of Special AML Projects, and AML Surveillance Manager.
