Max Block

Max Block is a Vice President based out of Exiger’s New York offices where he focuses on the firm’s investigative due diligence services, with a heavy focus on supporting clients in the financial services industry.

 

Max has over 20 years of experience managing investigative due diligence teams, typically in support of anti-money laundering programs for top-tier multi-national banks and anti-bribery and corruption programs for large, publicly listed corporations.  Prior to joining Exiger, Max was a Director with Credit Suisse’s Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) unit in New York, where he and his team provided intelligence and advisory services in advance of equity and debt capital market transactions, typically in high-risk jurisdictions.  Before Credit Suisse, Max worked at Navigant Consulting and KMPG, where he specialized in geopolitical and market intelligence, litigation support and human source inquiries.

 

Max began his career as a journalist.  Most recently he worked as field producer with the National Geographic Channel, working on stories in-country in Afghanistan, Iraq, Mali, Honduras, Nicaragua, Tierra del Fuego and elsewhere. He is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and Vassar College.
