John Scott is co-founder of Ion Channel, which was acquired by Exiger in 2023. Ion Channel is a leader in software supply chain risk management. His extensive background includes collaborations with organizations such as DARPA, US Intel Community, DOD, NGA, and US Banks: where he spearheaded projects focused on the adoption of open-source hardware and software supply chain practices. He has been involved in the development of cutting-edge design and testing methodologies for military comm’s networks, as well as complex systems modeling applications for distributed systems, leading to a patent in the field. His efforts have resulted in increased agility for the US military, improved collaboration with allied forces, and enhanced capabilities for military and disaster response operations. John was chairman of the National Defense Industrial Association’s Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) division and has written extensively about US Defense Reform and is called upon as an expert is these fields. He Graduated with a B.S. Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and an M.S. System Engineering from Virginia Tech.
